“Psychedelic Mooj keeps things simple: old school
groove, vintage tone, raw energy, and rock-solid rhythm. Analog Soup, the
band’s third studio album, captures their live sound perfectly. Everything
about this album was designed to reflect the band’s love of classic rock
and psychedelic blues.”

WE WANT YOUR REVIEWS!!!! If you would like to review the latest Psychedelic Mooj Album Spirit of 1974 or their new live Download Live at Hollywood Alley please send it to me at moojhead@gmail.com and I will gladly post it here. Thank you to all those who have passed along their positive thoughts and feedback (so far). "Spirit of 1974 totally blows my mind. It's like hearing Jimi Hendrix AND Robin Trower playing with Led Zeppelin. Haven't heard anything like this in a LONG time. If I have anything negative to say about the album it would be that [they] sound too much like Trower and Zeppelin. Oh wait, that isn't such a negative thing is it." "... I gotta tell you, the new stuff has some more bluesy and heavier songs than the first CD ... was watching Monterey Pop yesterday on TV and it made me think of [this] band. Meant as a complement, too, even on the bluesy stuff you guys capture that sound that I remember from about 1968 in clubs with lava lamp light shows and patterns on the walls." "I've seen [these] guys play many times and [they] always blow my mind. When I heard Sterling Sea of Roses on the Live at Hollywood Alley download I felt like I was sitting in Winterland in 1969 ... [These guys] are without a doubt the best psychedelic jam band I've heard in a while." "... got my first coupla listens to the [Psychedelic Mooj] disc yesterday. I was a 1967 'high' school grad, and I have not heard anything as purely acid-drenched since the Doors and Airplane broke up. It's not just jam band music, it seems like the next cut is gonna be 'Plastic Fantastic Lover', but is something more original instead, each time. You guys are cooking up some unique stuff in the desert. Rock on." "... don't know if you are familiar with the band "Spirit", but you sounded just like them live (I saw them many, many times live). Awesome show, dudes!" "UNBELIEVABLE! I hope to see you guys live someday..." "The Psychedelic Mooj is really two bands... I hear both a band that can slam out 3-minute ball-busting rock songs and one that can take the audience on very long and strange trip. I've seen many "jam bands" that go on and on with a song that never really gets exciting. You guys always seem to be going somewhere and the audience sounds like it doesn't care how long it takes you to get there. Truly awesome stuff you guys are doing there in Arizona!" "... Spirit of 1974 is without a doubt one of the best albums I've heard--EVER. The fact that you are letting people download it for free tells me that you understand what music is all about. I saw a show on VH-1 about the history of Rock and Roll and it mentioned that when Frampton Comes Alive came out in 1975 it changed the record business forever. No one cared about "the music" anymore, they just wanted to make more platinum records. The fact that you call your album The Spirit of 1974 tells me you already know that..." ....
